About the series
Strings of the Soul draws parallels between scientific and philosophical approaches to life. Through an analogy with string theory, Polina Zhadko considers the distinct forms, colours and resonances of human feeling. Each String is individual, just as people differ from one another.
The project extends from small mixed-media objects to interactive installations. The small forms vary in shape, surface and colour; No. 10 adds an interactive response to objects entering its personal space.
